We offer metagenomic sequencing of complex microbial communities such as environmental samples and gut microbiota, covering DNA extraction, library construction, high-throughput sequencing, species composition analysis, functional gene annotation, and differential analysis.
When your research subject is a complex microbial community (such as gut microbiota or an environmental sample) rather than a single culturable strain, metagenomic sequencing lets you understand the community’s species composition and functional potential directly, without culturing and isolation — answering "exactly which microbes live in this environment, and what can they do."
All microbial DNA in the sample is extracted directly without culturing or isolation, and genomic information for every species in the community is obtained by high-throughput sequencing. Species composition is analyzed by comparison against taxonomic annotation databases, and metabolic functional potential is analyzed using functional databases such as KEGG.
Gut microbiota-disease association research, environmental microecology research, probiotic function research, etc.
Directly sequences all microbial DNA in the community
Sequencing depth can be customized
Community composition and metabolic function presented together
Both gut microbiota and environmental microecology can be studied
