Based on the Escherichia coli (E. coli) expression system, we provide a one-stop prokaryotic protein expression service from vector construction and induction condition optimization to affinity chromatography purification — well suited to structurally simple proteins that do not require complex post-translational modifications.
When you need to obtain a relatively large amount of your target protein quickly and at low cost, and the protein is structurally simple and doesn’t depend on complex post-translational modifications, the E. coli prokaryotic expression system is the most economical and efficient choice — answering "how do I get enough protein at the lowest cost."
The gene of interest is cloned into a prokaryotic expression vector containing an inducible promoter such as T7/lac and transformed into a host strain such as BL21(DE3). Following IPTG induction, the protein is expressed in large quantities; soluble protein is purified by affinity chromatography (e.g., Ni-NTA), while protein expressed as inclusion bodies requires a denaturation-refolding step before purification.
